About Billy Cannestra

Billy Cannestra is a proud adoptive parent of two boys from Milwaukee. He met his wife in 2006, and together they’ve grown their family to six boys and two grandchildren. For the past 15 years, Billy has called Germantown, WI, home.

Billy’s career began in the print industry, where his interest in technology quickly led him to the digital side of the business. This experience sparked his passion for combining creativity with technology.

His next venture was co-founding Homeboyz Graphics, an inner-city youth program focused on teaching computer skills — from print design to web programming — to ex-gang members and at-risk youth. Billy’s dedication to mentorship and community impact remains one of the most rewarding chapters of his career.

He then joined William Eisner & Associates, where he spent 23 years sharpening his skills and working with major brands like Coca-Cola, Summerfest, and Potawatomi. This experience gave him valuable insight into brand strategy and marketing on a national level.

Building on this foundation, Billy launched Ctrl Tactics, a freelance business focused on helping small businesses grow and succeed. After the agency closed, he took Ctrl Tactics full-time. With over 30 years of experience, Billy continues using his knowledge and creative approach to help new and established businesses thrive.

When Billy is not working, he spends time with his two youngest boys. He also enjoys watching movies, sketching, kayaking, fishing, golfing, and spending time outside.
